Economic Development Commission
The Economic Development Commission formed by Town Meeting on June 29, 1973 and is composed of 5 members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. After a period of inactivity is was reactivated by the Board of Selectmen 10/3/2000.
The mission of the EDC is to promote and develop the economic conditions of the Town in accordance with the Plan of Conservation and Development and in cooperation with the appropriate town officials and agencies.
There shall be an Economic Development Commission for the promotion of the business and industrial resources of the Town of Lebanon, consisting of five (5) regular members and three
(3) alternate members, each of whom shall be appointed for a term of five (5) years. The Commission shall exercise the powers and duties prescribed in Chapter 97 of the Connecticut General Statutes. (Town Charter 2023)
