Transfer Station

Acceptable Waste Materials in Normal Operating Conditions:
  • Construction & Demolition
  • Appliances
  • Municipal Solid Waste
  • Bulky Waste (ex. furniture)
  • Recyclables
  • Yard Waste
  • Electronics

Recyclables brought to Transfer Station must follow State guidelines for single stream, mixed recycling.  Including too many non-recyclable items can cause increased fees for the town and result in dumpsters being considered waste and not processed as recyclables.  Many items marked for recycling cannot be included such as plastic bags, black plastic containers, styrofoam, and prescription bottles.  Use the links to the left to learn more about what can and cannot be recycled.

No household hazardous waste materials are allowed at the Lebanon Transfer Station. Upcoming dates for Hazardous material collections may be found at the Southeastern CT Regional Resources Recovery Authority website.

Please do not leave materials that are “still good” but no longer wanted by you outside of Lebanon Transfer Station bins. All materials brought to the Lebanon Transfer Station must be placed in the appropriate containers or sheds, as directed by our Transfer Station Supervisor, Douglas Blakeslee.

Activities other than the collection of waste materials may not occur at the Town of Lebanon Transfer Station, per our town ordinance and our State of Connecticut permit. Please do not ask permission to engage in fund raising activities at this town facility.

Important: The facility is cash/check only.
