The Town of Lebanon operates under a Town Meeting form of government using state statutes as a guideline since we do not have a charter. The Board of Selectmen are responsible for the everday operations of the town. The Board of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financing of these operations. Other boards, commissions and committees have responsibility for a variety of other functions within the town.
Town government is far more than the work of those in town hall. It could not exist without the work of those elected and appointed to the various boards, commissions and committees.
Listed below are the chairmen and a brief description of each. For detail on each, see that page. Please check the calendar for specific meeting dates.
