Dog Licenses

In the State of Connecticut it is the law to license your dog in the Town Clerk's office of the Town in which you reside as soon as the dog has reached the age of 6 months (CGS 22-338).  To avoid any delays or inconvenience to you, and to avoid penalties and/or fines, please visit the Town Clerk’s office before June 30th of the current year, or mail your renewal.    Bring a current rabies certificate and, if the dog is spayed or neutered, a spay or neuter certificate (CGS 22-338(b)).   Licensing NEW dog(s) in the Town requires a rabies vaccination certificate and spay/neuter certificate (if applicable).  

Did you update your dog's rabies certificate since last June?  Scan or take a picture of the updated rabies certificate.  Email the updated rabies certificate to townclerk@lebanonct.gov.  If you are unable to email, you may bring the certificate into the office or fax it to us at 860-642-7716.  Our office can update your dog(s) records any time during the year.
