Registrars of Voters register voters, update and maintain voter lists, maintain voting machines, make voter information available, administer the polling place on election days, and fulfill other requirements mandated by the Office of the Secretary of State.
Forms for voter registration, address change, name change or party enrollment change are available from the Town clerk’s office during regular Town Hall hours. These forms may also be obtained by contacting the Registrar’s office.
Before every election special voter registration sessions are held.
Absentee ballot applications are available through the Town Clerk.
The Registrar of Voters of the Town of Lebanon will be in their office in Town Hall for voter making sessions on the following days:
- Saturday October 17, 2009 10 AM to 2 PM
- Tuesday October 27, 2009 9 AM to 8 PM
Anyone wishing to register to vote should come to the Town Hall on these dates.
- October 20, 2009 is the last day to register by mail and be eligible to vote in the November 3rd Election.
- October 27, 2009 is the last day to register in person and be eligible to vote in the November 3rd Election.
Special exception is made for those turning 18, becoming citizens, or moving into town between October 27 and Nov. 2. Such persons can come to Town Hall until noon on November 2, 2009 to be registered.
Registration forms are available in the registrar's and town clerk's offices in town hall and at the Jonathan Trumbull Library. They are also available electroncially on the Secretary of State website.
